Adjacent to Castle Creek Inn is the prestigious Castle Creek Country Club, home to the scenic Castle Creek Golf Course. A PGA approved 18-hole championship golf course currently ranked #4 in San Diego County.

Founded in 1948, the 18-hole championship, par 72 course is steeped in tradition and was designed by Jack Daray, whose credits include Olympia Fields CC--home of the 2003 US Open.

Castle Creek Golf Course challenges the golfer with oak-lined fairways, white sand bunkers, undulating greens, water hazards and intermittent play over Moosa Creek, adding character and challenge to every hole. The temperate climate and sunny skies of San Diego make this course a year-round golfers' paradise.

Highlights of the course include the deceptively dangerous 14th hole (Castle Creek's signature hole), and the very technical up/downhill trio 10th, 11th, 12th, considered by many as one of the toughest in the county.

The course has five different sets of tees, ranging from the challenging black tees (6,638 yards, 72.0/136) to the beginners' green tees (4,706 yards, 67.4/114), being ideal for golfers of all skill levels.

Restaurant & Lounge

Adjacent to our Resort (just some yards away via a rustic wood stepped path) are located "The View" Restaurant and the Circle R Lounge. Known for their unique ambiance and great cuisine, the restaurant and lounge are part of the separately owned and adjacent Castle Creek Country Club, a traditional, exclusive Country Club.

The restaurant and lounge are normally for exclusive use of Country Club's members and their guests, but as our Resort is a lifetime member of the Country Club, our guests are always welcome there. Please read below for more information.

"The View" Restaurant

The View RestaurantFeaturing scenic views of the golf course and adjacent hillsides from all sitting tables, "The View" Restaurant is famous for its great cuisine and unique ambiance.

Serving fine American and International cuisine, "The View" restaurant offers a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. House specialties include the western-style "choice" steaks and prime rib, and the popular daily specials. A variety of salads, fresh fish, pastas, sandwiches, and vegetarian courses are also available.

The wine cart includes a variety of fine California wines and champagnes. Beverage options include cool draft beers, cocktails, juices and more.

The Circle R Lounge

The Circle R Lounge is a great place to fraternize and relax. With scenic views of the golf course and adjacent hillsides, the lounge features a complete bar and offers a variety of drinks, appetizers, lunch and dinner options, being a favorite in the region.

Beverage options include cool draft beers, cocktails, juices and more. The wine cart includes a variety of California wines and champagnes. The Circle R Lounge opens daily and closes as business warrants.
